My name is Gilbert Sanchez…
I was born and raised in San Jose, CA, the birthplace of tech. This is probably why I became such a nerd. I’m addicted to gadgets, web and graphic design, and community activism. One of the things that I really care about is taking care of my community. I hope to blend both of my passions into one.
The other reason I’m a huge nerd is my father. When I was a youngster he saw Hackers (one of my favs!) and said he thought it would be cool if I could do that. While I didn’t become a hacker in the same sense, I did become a computer addict.
I hope to join the peace corps and help people get access to the internet. I believe that the way to improve quality of life is to educate people. A huge educational tool is the internet. Hopefully with a degree in sociology, I can help implement technology into different communities.
What I Blog About
I blog about my web design clients and a bit about my personal life. Yes, I know most blog aficionados would consider personal blogging and cardinal sin, but I try to keep it to a minimum. I occasionally mention local events and community activism. Yes a little sporadic, but so what! lol
